This is a haven for fly fishermen. Enjoy tranquil and picturesque surroundings whilst fishing for your prize in the well stocked Kariega River.

Mountain Biking
For energetic guests, mountain bikes are available for your enjoyment. Enjoy the freedom of viewing game whilst taking a ride in the pristine bushveld, for an unforgettable African bush adventure.

Bird-Watching
Kariega boasts more than 200 species of birds, among them the high soaring Fish, Marshall and Crowned Eagles. This great selection of bird life will keep keen bird watchers busy for hours.

Swimming
For water-babies or those just wanting to cool off from the hot African sun, dive into the river and revel in the beautiful river pools surrounded by pristine forests. For the less adventurous, relax at the sun-splashed communal pools.

Hiking
For hiking enthusiasts, Kariega’s trails are a must. Walk safely amongst more than 25 species of game and wonderful birdlife on the non-dangerous section of the reserve.
