Singita Ebony Lodge, Kruger National Park |
In the jackalberry tree above the deck at Ebony, a flock of
green pigeons are eating the sweet fruit. They crack the seeds
in their beaks, and hang upside down, calling softly to each
other like parrots. Disturbed, they flap off down the river,
their wings flashing brilliant green and yellow in the afternoon
sun.

In the Lodge at Ebony, you will encounter the quiet
opulence of African colonial style at its most refined. From the
cool and sumptuous folds of a leather sofa, you'll watch a giraffe
browse on a distant acacia, or you yourself may browse from the
extensive library in the quiet of the afternoon. |

| Set in the dappled shade of ebony
trees on the banks of the Sand River, the suites at Ebony are
completely private, cool and spacious, and each with its own plunge
pool. On the deck, you may spend time alone in reflection, or
enjoy a gourmet dinner for two in the most romantic of settings.
